Chloe O’Brian is Funny

I went to go see Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O’Brian as most of you know her by). She plays a computer nerd on the show 24 with Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer). I just wanted to get that all out of the way.

Mary Lynn Rajskub did a comedy show at Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. She did a bunch of jokes about 24 and Jack Bauer. She was definitelly trying new material out and testing the waters. She was a very funny comedian and for five dollars, it wasn’t to expensive. I have never been to the UCB theatre and i liked that theatre. This is the worst post ever, and you know what i don’t care. Please check out the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and if Mary Lynn Rajskub is ever in your town, you should check her out also. I mean cmon she did a jack bauer joke, thats funny already.

TV Turnoff Week : 2006

I am taking part of TV Turn of week. Starting yesterday i will not watch any television. This means anything Tivo’d and i am going to take it a step further and say no downloaded shows either. I will just watch those shows next monday. I have already noticed a difference of not turning the tv on. During dinner me and my girlfriend usually put on a movie or just put on the tv. I didn’t take it to the extreme last night, i cheated and i watched some Tivo’d Elizabeth I. But not anymore, the TV will be off. I usually put on the tv when i go to bed, but last night i did not. I forgot and i turned on the tv this morning for a second, because it is just ritual. But i quickly turned it off. Support TV Turn off week, and see how much TV is in your life. Turn off that TV! “Blocked” Hanes Commercial

I was watching a movie on abc family, and the funniest commercial came on. It was a Hanes commercial. Hanes commercials usually don’t make me laugh, but this one was just to funny. It is a commercial with Kevin Bacon and Michael Jordan, Where Kevin tries to make a shot, and Jordon blocks every shot that Kevin makes. I found it online on there website at http://www.hanes.com/HanesCommerce/en-US/Explore.htm. And then you have to scroll to the right some and you can watch this commercial. I am glad that Hanes puts there commercials online, i wish that more companies would do this.

I Hate 24

I love two shows currently on T.V. right now. These two shows are Lost and 24. The reason why i hate these shows is pretty obvious, i am addicted to them!

I didn’t start watching Lost until it was done with the first season and i could rent the DVD. I did this because i knew that if i started watching it during the season i would get mad at it, and throw something ta my T.V. So i didn’t, i just wanted for the dvd.

It is hard now, i cannot wait for the dvd, i have to watch every new show. I have to know whats going on every week. Not every week per say, but i have to know whats going on.

I don’t know how i got into this mode and it is killing me. I have never been like this for a T.V. show. I have always let weeks past before i just catched a show on the T.V. The producers/directors of both of these shows have tapped into my brain and figured out a way. They have figured out a way to get me addicted to these shows like cigarettes.

This has started me to think that the T.V. shows are working with cigarette companies, since they know what is addicting. Maybe soon, one day, T.V. shows like Lost and 24 will be illegal to watch indoors. Or maybe one day it will be illegal everywhere like in it is in certain cities now.

But until then i will keep watching 24 and Lost. Are they addicting? Or are those T.V. shows just very good.

Music Video Television is Getting Worse

I couldn't sleep today, so i turned on the television and to my surprise MTV was playing music videos. Im not going to rant about how MTV doesn't play music videos anymore. Because music videos don't make money anymore. And i understand this. But i guess at 6 o clock in the morning thats when there viewer-ship must be its lowest. Only because thats when they play music videos and not Laguna Beach.

The Miami Herald has reported that MTV's viewer-ship has been declining. But they only report that its because of other reasons like the olympics and other freak occurrences.

At six o clock in the morning though, MTV's demographic isn't the 12-24 year olds, but probably the 19 years and older. There usual demographic is at school and they can show music videos. Even though they only play two music videos and then there usual amount of commercials. Which was extremely annoying, but again i go back to, there viewer-ship in the morning is probably very low. So they can do almost whatever they want at this time.

I did see the new kelly clarkson and a lot of bands i have never heard of. Green Days "Wake Me Up When September Ends" Video was the best video i have seen. The worst video was Kanye West's "Gold Digger." Update: While i was dotting the i's to this, Frankie J's, "More Than Words" came on. Winner, worst video.
