Last night i went to the Lords Of Dogtown Art Collection Los Angeles opening at the adidas store on melrose. I Love Skateboard art more than most art. I like most of my friends were grown up on Skateboarding and what was around skateboarding. I was in awe that there were skateboard decks up on the walls. They were being displayed as art. I saw the first, second and third dogtown skateboard ever made. All cracked and broken in its glory. There were pictures from the set of the new movie lords of dogtown and there were a few pictures from back in the day of alva. Tony Alva, Skip Engblom, and a few people who i think star in the new movie. My friend was looking at the picture of Alva when i said, well you know hes right behind you. I was more awestruck by Alva than the arrival of the Osbournes. Alva could be called the originator of what we call Modern Skateboarding. Just talking about this makes me want to watch the documentary again. Thank you dan for the invite. And thank you erin for going with me.
Rock on, to the power.
