So here I go and buy it and it gets shipped to my house broken. So instead of complaining, I try and fix it myself. As you can see below, it is clearly broken.

The good:
Chicken Strips are amazing

The bad:
Parking is a problem. I would recommend going past it, and taking exit MLK jr, and parking at one of the mini malls before it and walking up to it. It is only a few blocks away.
There is no Ice Dream there, I asked the manager about this, and his response was, well because of Cold Stone.
They are not opened on Sunday.

But anyways, the good outweighs the bad here by a lot. Go get yourself some Chick-Fil-A in Los Angeles.

I love the new Arcade Fire album, and now someone found out about this easter egg for it. It is called Synchronized Artwork and it is mainly used on iTunes for audio books and the like. I don’t know if this is the first time that a band has used it or not, but it is definitely neat. Too my knowledge you have to buy it from Arcade Fire directly to see this working.

So If you have not seen Inception yet, I highly recommend it. It is a fun movie that I have thought about and made jokes about and references about since I have seen it. Above are two screen caps from the movie. The first one is about the time that he finished the first inception and gets a phone call from his kids. The second image is from the end after everything is done with, Just before the top sounds like it is about to topple over.

After I read this article from the Costume Designer from Inception, I had to make sure myself. He says “On to the second part of your question, the children’s clothing is different in the final scene… look again…” And it is pretty accurate. Also I was reading through the message boards that supposedly two different child actors played the beginning and ending children. But I think that is pretty normal as kids can only work so much in Hollywood, and it would be easier to just hire more children.

But whenever he uses the totem he is in a dream anyways? Right? So he is just no longer in limbo.

I was afraid I would have to shave it down so the power cord would fit. But apparently this is version two of the DODO case.

Looks like a book, no idea that it is an iPad. Awesome, and it does a better job of protecting the iPad than the Apple iPad holder. This feels much more sturdier.

This is just one example of the Wired iPad application and what it is doing. In just one day it is already at the top of the top paid iPad applications Every article is in the magazine, but for the iPad there are some enhancements. Such as music to articles, videos and some interactive elements. It is priced exactly the same as the magazine is priced, which i subscribe to. If they can someday get a subscription, that equals the print subscription or less (minus printing costs). The magazine iPad applications will surely take off.

I love the wired app, and I have already shown it to everyone as a great example of what the iPad can do. And what is possible with some thinking. I can’t wait till my favorite music magazine has an app, and i can listen watch and read the review of the latest wu-tang cd. Think about it, awesome.

• I don’t like to wash my car getting a wash.
• I like to pretend that I own another car.
• I like to give people dirty looks at the car wash.

And thats about it.

The next thing I did was delete some folders and files that I know aren’t being used. I found an old Gallery2 installation and transfered the albums folder locally. I then deleted the whole folder, it took some hours to do over ftp. After that I created a Gallery category and a gallery page. I did this so I can customize the gallery page, and make it look more like a photo gallery than a blog. I started uploading some of the albums from gallery2 and was looking at how WordPress uses the image and galley features and customizing it using a child theme. I have never done this before, so it took some time to do. I was going to write my own function to grab the first image from a gallery, but apparently Wordpress already made one for me in the 2010 theme! So, I just had to copy and paste, I didn’t fine this until about an hour after I was working on my own. There doesn’t seem to be many websites talking about this, so I am going to change that later today on my tips for wordpress website.

It is finally happening. The day I have been waiting for, for at least two years since I started growing my hair. I am going to be cutting my hair. Don’t be sad, this is going to be a joyous occasion. In honor of Mellissa and Justin, I am going to be donating my hair to the Beautiful Lengths program. Which will turn my hair into a wig, for someone who is going through cancer treatment. I am going to be raising money with st baldricks who donate there money to some of the best cancer research people out there.

I don’t expect to make a million bucks off of this, but it would be great if I did. I am tired of looking like a hippy and guys thinking that I am a girl. I have a special prize also for whoever donates the most money. A jaws wave print, signed by shepard fairey himself.

I am going to actually be cutting my hair on April 3, 2010.

Magnolia

As I awoke I thought about how I didn’t want to wake up Erin and let her sleep a little bit. I thought about the ways that we could use an iPad in the house. I thought about how when it wasn’t in use it could be showing the latest pictures I had taken. Or just even a slideshow of pictures from flickr or facebook. I would love it if would just go through all the pictures that I have Favorited in flickr. I would build a frame for it, so it slides in and out easily and charges while in there.  It would have a fancy frame.

Or I was thinking that I would mount it into the kitchen, and use it as our primary to do list and Calendar. I asked Erin about this when she woke up and said, that would be great, I would look at the Calendar and see who’s birthday it was this week. And I responded, and yes you could add events to it from your NON iPhone, or while you are at work. And I could add events from my iPhone or while I am at work. You could even add events while looking at it. We could even have a dynamic to do list, or groceries list. Where we are out of something, you add it on the iPad and when we go grocery shopping, I could look up what we are missing on my iPhone.

Then I thought about how I always had my iPad at the bedside table and didn’t have to worry about getting up and grabbing it from the kitchen or in the front room. I know that there are probably cheaper solutions for this, but for this I know that I could write my own application or website to do the things that I want to do specifically. And that is what makes it more intriguing to me as a whole. For the price point to do what I want to, Know how to do, It is justified.

I already ordered my iPad 32gb 3g last week. I will wait to see how I use it in my life to make any more decisions.
