I went to go see this play because my friend Stephanie is friends with and went to high school with one of the actors (Michael J.) Otherwise i wouldn’t have never went to see this play. There are plenty of plays in the valley that play for free, i maybe go to about two to three plays a year. And they were or are friends of mine.
I went into this play with the mindset that the play is going to suck and the actors are probably going to suck. Because thats my experience at least with these small plays that i have seen. But i was quite surprised with everything that the play had to offer.
When the first scene started and “Sophie” started talking to herself, i said to myself and i joked to my friend, this is going to be a great play. But as soon as the rest of the cast showed up on stage i changed my mind completely. It does take a little bit of time for the play to get going and get interesting. It is a good play and i loved what it had to offer.
I would recommend that you go see the White Liars and support local theatre. I am not saying this because they are friends of friends, i am saying it because it is a good show.
